PREPAK (Pro) celebrates 41st Raising Day of Red Army

Imphal, Oct 10: Armed rebel group PREPAK (PRO) celebrated 41st Raising Day of its Red Army on October 9. A statement of the rebel group said that the Raising Day was held at CHQ, STF, NCTF,B1, B2, B3 and B4 of the party and many places around the WESEA region.
At the function held at CHQ, the Chairman of the party who presided over the celebration talked about the various problems of the Manipuri society and aspects of the liberation struggle.
The statement further said that the celebration held at Base Area 2(B2) was attended by leaders of 10 revolutionary organisations of WESEA region. The function was hosted by the Chief of Army Staff of Red Army N.Rakesh Meetei.The Commander in Chief of Naga Army, General Th.Khumchok of NSCN (K) was the Chief Guest. KLO Chairman Jibol Singh Koch, PDCK Chairman J K Lijang, NDFB General Secretary B Ferenga, ULFA(I) Assistant General Secretary Jibol Asom, NLFT Organisation Secretary Sachin Borok, RPF/PLA‘s Assistant Chief of Staff Anganba, UNLF/MPA’s CO Wakheiba, KYKL/MYL’s CO Raghunat and KCP/MFL’s CO Kabongakpa attended the ceremony as guests of honour.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Guest General Th.Khumchok elaborated the need for the formation of a united front of the WESEA region which was espoused by late Baba Khaplang and expressed the need for nurturing the strength of the Mongoloid people of the region as well.
KLO Chairman also spoke about the dangers faced by the people of the region as a result of India’s colonial policies and added that a united struggle of the various organisations of the region can only save ourselves from these dangers.
Assistant General Secretary of ULFA(I) stressed the need to fight together to mitigate the deteriorating condition of the socio economy and other aspects of the WESEA region during these 70 years of Indian occupation.
Various leaders spoke of the ways of strengthening the liberation struggle as well.
