Postal Voting for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities kicks off in Imphal East District

Postal ballot voting for senior citizens (AVSC) and persons with disabilities (AVPD) in Imphal East District, was flagged off today by Khumanthem Diana, DC Imphal East, and K Meghachandra, SP Imphal East, alongside other officials.
Form 12D had been previously distributed to eligible electors through BLOs. The approved list of absentee voters in Imphal East District includes 1069 senior citizens, 607 persons with disabilities, and 3 ESV, totaling 1679 voters.
Thirty separate polling teams, each comprising two officials, a videographer, a micro observer, and a half section of armed security personnel, have been appointed for the issuance and receipt of postal ballots. The schedule for house-to-house visits has been divided into two rounds. The first round is scheduled from April 7 to April 12, 2024, with the second round slated to cover remaining voters on April 15, 2024.
