Postal Services in Manipur Division to undergo digital transformation

The Department of Posts is set to roll out the next-generation APT (Advanced Postal Technology) application across all post offices under the Manipur Division of the North East Circle as part of a major digital transformation initiative. The upgraded system is scheduled to go live on August 4, 2025.
In a press release issued by the Superintendent of Post Offices, Manipur Division, it was stated that the rollout marks a significant advancement in the department’s efforts toward achieving digital excellence and strengthening nation-building efforts. The new APT application has been developed to provide faster service delivery, an enhanced user experience, and a more customer-friendly interface.
To ensure a smooth and secure transition to the upgraded digital platform, a planned service downtime has been scheduled for August 2, 2025. On this day, public transactions at all post offices in the Manipur Division will be temporarily suspended. The department clarified that this suspension is essential to carry out necessary data migration, system validation, and configuration processes prior to the implementation of the new system.
The Superintendent appealed to the public to plan their postal service requirements in advance, as services would not be available during the transition period. The inconvenience, the release stated, is regretted but necessary for ensuring improved and future-ready postal operations.
