Imphal, Oct 13: As celebrated across the country, the Department of Posts, Manipur Division organized mobile Philately Day on 12th Oct’ 17 at different schools of Manipur as part of the National Postal Week 2017 celebration which will be observed from 9th Oct to 14th Oct. 2017. Functions were organized at Kanandevi Memorial Hr. Secondary School, Kombirei Keithel, Imphal, C.C Higher Secondary School, Sanjenthong, Imphal and Johnstone Higher Secondary School, Imphal under Postal staff team of Manipur Postal Division.
Th. Gandhi Singh Marketing Executive Divisional Office, Imphal expressed about the importance of celebrating Philately Day on 12th Oct 2017 and the students were made aware of Philately products by demonstrating and displaying “My Stamp Sheet”, “Commemorative and definitive Stamps. He also stated to open at least one Philately Deposit Account and also to take the opportunity of “My Stamp” to the Students.
Chingaikim Vaiphei, In-Charge, Philately Bureau Imphal Head Post Office expressed about the importance of Special Cover, First Day Cover etc.
