Police alerted at border area following notification of NRC Assam; JCILPS Students’ Wing and KSO joins hand in checking illegal influx

Following order of the Manipur government to keep strict vigils along the borders of the state in the wake of the notification of NRC Assam, Manipur Police has tighten security measures at all border areas including Moreh, Mao and Jiribam.
On the other hand JCILPS Students Wing along with Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) Jiribam had started checking of illegal influx at Jiribam Check post.
9 non locals who tried to enter the state who failed to produce valid documents were forced to return back, a report said.
Report from Moreh said that Tengnoupal district Superintendent of Police Dr. S. Ibomcha has instituted 5 teams headed by 5 Officers to look after the influx of illegal immigrants .
All police stations has been ordered to remain alert. At the moment Additional SP K. Robinson is looking after the Moreh Police Check Post , Sub-Divisional Police Officer Shandeep Gopal Das assisted by OC MOREH Police Letkhohao Vaiphei has been supervising checking at Indo-Myanmar Friendship Gate No. 2 to Muslim Basti of Moreh .
Deputy Superintendent of Police Thomas Thokchom is looking after the Indo-Myanmar Friendship Gate No. 2 to Friendship Bridge (Gate No. 1 ).
