Proletarian Feminist Movement of Manipur, POFM has open another unit at Nongbrang, in Imphal East district yesterday. This is the second unit of the organisation open 4 days. The president of POFM Surjabala while talking to Imphal Times said that they will open more branch at other district of the state so that the POFM will open more unit at other part of the state so that proletarian women from all part of the state could jointly fight against all form of violence against women and children of the state.
POFM is a women’s body who had recently staged series of protest demanding justice for Thanga gang rape victim as well as punishment of the Sekmai Assembly Constituency MLA who is alleged of raping a lady from Thangmeiband Assembly constituency.
