The 48th raising day of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was observed at various locations across Manipur Today.
A press statement issued by Roben Khuman, Deputy Secretary, Publicity, Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) said the anniversary programme was observed at Party and PLA units, departments and stations across the State, as well as at locations under RPF Central Bureau divisions. Flags, festoons and stars were displayed, while a message from RPF president Y. M. Ngouba was disseminated to the public.
The main programme, according to the statement, featured a tribute to those who had sacrificed their lives for the cause of the land. It said RPF president Y. M. Ngouba, observing the occasion with a sense of solemnity, conveyed a message to the people of Manipur.
The statement also called upon all groups operating in Manipur to unite and work collectively for the people, urging them to remain committed to protecting the land, preserving its identity and building a peaceful and prosperous future.
