A team of 45 AR with the support of Heingang Police personnel apprehended a member of the proscribed group PLA identified as Sr. Lt Hijam Premjit @ Jingboi (41) S/o H Iboyaima of Singjamei Mongkhang Lambi under Singjamei PS from Koirengei Bazar in front of CMC Hospital. Premjit joined the outfit in 2000, and following his disclosure, a huge cache of items including arms and ammunition has been recovered from Phanung Village under Lamlai PS. The recovered items include one 9mm Beretta pistol along with a magazine and 3 live rounds of 9mm, 2 hand grenades, one mobile with SIM card. The arrested person along with the seized items were handed over to Heingang Police Station.
