Pimp apprehended, even Ministers are involved in the sex racket: Nupi Samaj

Nupi Samaj has disclosed a sex racket operating in Manipur, implicating serving ministers in the government. Kh. Indu Devi, the advisor of Nupi Samaj, informed the press that girls and some boys were found engaging in illicit activities in Kadangband. When the village volunteers found them, these individuals were rounded up, and the girls were handed over to Nupi Samaj for counseling, she added. Subsequently, Meitei Leimarol Sinaisang staff members were called in to provide medical treatment and additional counseling. Village volunteers dealt with the boys, who were later released.
During the press conference, the Nupi Samaj advisor, during their interview, revealed that these girls are drug addicts and it is due to their addiction that they are involved in such activities.
Furthermore, the pimp, who was apprehended by the village volunteers, disclosed the involvement of influential individuals in this illicit activity. The pimp, also present at the press conference, detailed the ongoing activities and how he charges commission for engaging in such illicit activities.
“When questioned regarding these activities, they disclosed that even ministers are involved in this sex racket, revealing all details,” Kh. Indu Devi added. She further said, “We are warning the ministers and MLAs of Manipur that if they are encouraging or involved in such activities, we will take action against them.” The rescued girls have since been reunited with their families.”
