22 years old Laishram Malemnganba of Waiton Mamang Leikai of Imphal East district who was arrested for his alleged hate post in social media was released on bail by the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Imphal East today.
Malemnganba was arrested by Heingang Police based on the complaint filed by the President of BJYM Barish Sharma for posting derogatory and hate comment on facebook post. The accused posted – “4 yoningla yonni, Chaningla Chani, Nawa Loude, Sanyung Thakpa BJP Party”.
Interestingly, a photo of Malemnganba taken while in police custody, which was circulated in facebook was also noted by the CJM. The Court warn the officer in charge of the police station for allowing to take such photograph and has directed the SP of Imphal East to inquire about the matter.
