People thronged 1st Mao Market Day Observation

Imphal, July 25: The 1st Mao Market Day Observation 2017 was held at Nagamapal of Imphal West today.
The function organised by the Mao Market Coordinating Association (MMCA) was attended PDA Chairman T Robindro Singh, PHED Minister L Dikho and presidents of MMCA and IPSA attended the event.
On the occasion, PDA Chairman T Robindro said, “The BJP government has decided to build a Mao market in Imphal.”
A large number of people thronged the venue buying items sold at different stalls. The stalls numbering about 40 sold various Mao seasonal vegetables, fruits and flowers.  
MMCA was recently formed on the advice of Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh on June 20 with the sole objective of building a dedicated Mao market in the state capital.
The association was formed after collaborating with Mao Union Imphal, Mao Women Business Union, International Peace and Social Advancement, Kangleipak Students’ Association, Chanura Lamchinglen Kangleipak and Kanglei Ima Lup and Kanglamei.
