People need not panic – Dr. Ibomcha

Director of State Health Directorate Dr. Ibopmcha today said that people need not be panic with the news of the dead of the swine flu patient at Shija Hospital. He said the other person may have died of some other disease as she was reported to have diabetes. “Only 2 or 3 % died of the disease and people need not be panic out of the situation”, Dr, Ibomcha said to a group of newsmen at his office room today afternoon. On a question being asked about the state health department preparation to counter the disease, Dr. Ibomcha said that since the time of ebola, state health department has already set up isolation wards for treatment of such dreaded disease. On question about the precautionary measure that one can take up Dr. Ibomcha said that protective mask is a much for all the people. The Health Director however, didn’t mention about any government plant for distribution of the protective masks.
