Speaking to reporters at AMSU Head Quarter, General Secretary of the student body, Manjit Sarangthem said that the students’ body had already appealed the state government to keep the price of the essential commodities under control within September 9. He said the volunteers of the students body were amazed when they found PDS rice which are meant for distribution to people living below poverty line selling at the shops located at Thangal Keithel, Masjid road and Nagamapal.
Manjit further added that the rice sold at the shops were found to be adulterated by mixing stone and unclean particles which can be harmful to human health.
