Imphal, June 3: Thoubal district police commandos seized 1,200 pieces of the contraband ‘World is Yours’ (WY) tablets from a woman at Pallel on Imphal-Moreh section of NH-102 yesterday, according to a police report.
Last month, a huge quantity of WY, highly psychotropic drugs, worth around Rs 7 lakh in international market was seized by Manipur police in Imphal.
Earlier yesterday, over 1 lakh pieces of SP tablets were seized by a team of Thoubal police commandos from three individuals at Tangjeng on NH-102.
Police sources said the seized drugs were carrying in a vehicle from Imphal to Thoubal. They said the drugs were being smuggled into the state after they were brought from Kolkata by flight.
