‘Pandey turns out to be a dreaded virus in N Biren Singh government’

Incumbent Manipur University Vice Chancellor who often went on leave without mentioning the date of his joining the University now appears as the most dreaded virus in the N. Biren Singh led Manipur Government.

“He want to solve the problem but some unseen power threaten him of dire consequences if acted as per the wishes of the Manipur University community “, said a close associate of Chief Minister N. Biren Singh in response to why the person who succeeded in toppling the top job of the people fails to even solve a problem which is minor to Chief Ministers of any other states of the country.

“May be he is ordered to protect the incumbent VC for reason best known to the central authority”, said a close associate to the CMO who does not want to reveal his identity.

Over two months plus 10 days the academic activities in the Manipur University has been put to complete halt. And career of over thousands of students of higher studies in colleges are at stake due to the present imbroglio in Manipur University.

Instead of trying a way out to solve the problem the Manipur government under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Biren Singh is using every means to sabotage the movement of the Manipur University Community who are demanding for the removal of the VC AP Pandey, the source from the CMO said. And added that why the chief minister is taking that much importance to AP Pandey then the rest of the whole of Manipur University Community.

Off the record statement by the source said that removing Pandey from the VC ship may put the Chief Minister into deep trouble. This is being stated in view of the present unseen crisis among the BJPian of Manipur state.

Meanwhile students of various college students continue to hold protest demanding removal of Pandey from the post of the Vice Chancellor of the Manipur University.

University across the nation including JNU among others had extended support to the agitation of the Manipur University Community.
