Painting and essay writing competition on conservation of oil and gas

Imphal, Jan 16: Indian Oil Corporation Limited today inaugurated the Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight 2015 at Nirmala Hotel, Thangal Bazar, Imphal. As a part of the fortnight observation, a painting competition with the theme of ‘sustainable development’ for class VI to VIII along with an essay writing competition for class IX to XII with the theme of ‘is sustainable development possible’ were held. Around 100 students of Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyalay, Khumbong, Kendra Vidyalay, Lamjing, Kendra Vidyalaya, Lamphel and Shishu Nishta Niketan schools participated in the competitions. The main objective of organising the fortnight observation is to create awareness for the conservation of oil and gas. The prizes will be distributed on the valedictory functions which will be held on 03rd Feb, 15 at the same Hotel.
