Imphal, 4th May, 2016: A total of 7,51,376 (seven lakhs fifty one thousand three hundred seventy six) applicants including 5,31,313 ( five lakhs thirty one thousand three hundred thirteen) male and 2,20,063 (two lakhs twenty thousand sixty three) female applicants are Live-Registered in the different Employment Exchange of Manipur at the end of March, 2016 according to monthly progress report on the working of Employment Service, Manipur issued by the Directorate of Employment Exchange, Manipur.
The total number registered in Imphal West district has the highest number of job seekers of 1,96,224 including 1,27,199 Male and 69,025 female. Imphal East district has 1,19,875 (84,225 male and 35,650 female), Thoubal 1,27,478 (99,300 male and 28,178 female), Bishnupur 71,878 (53,085 male and 18,793 female), Churachandpur 74,953 (54,773 male and 20,180 female), Ukhrul 30,721 (21,323 male and 9,398 female), Senapati 62,306 (44,800 male and 17,506 female), Tamenglong 26,343 (19,821 male and 6,522 female) and Chandel 32,040 (21,781 male and 10,259 female) respectively.
The number of those registered under Physical/Handicapped are 2,794 (1,876 male and 918 female) and under U.E. I & G. B are 6,764 (3,130 male and 3,634 female) respectively.
During the month 1,444 (one thousand four hundred forty four) applicants including 623 (six hundred twenty three) female applicants got themselves registered with Employment Exchanges in Manipur as against 2,613 (two thousand six hundred thirteen) applicants of the previous month. While, 3 (three) applicants were removed due to non-renewal during the month as against 79 (seventy nine) applicants removed from the Live register of the previous month.
