Imphal, Dec 12: Over 1000 ladies today runs to commemorate the 77th Nupi Lal Day organised by various organisations here in the state of Manipur.
Nupi Lal Observation Committee organised a run from Nupi Lal Complex till Singjamei. Women between the age of 20 to 80 joined the run to show their solidarity to the ladies who had sacrificed for the people of the state. Other organisations also organised Nupi Lan memorial runs at various places.
Plantation
Imphal, Dec 12: Faculties and students of Department of Life Science, Manipur University today launched a plantation programme at the Department campus to show respect to the martyred Manipuri ladies who had raise against the discriminatory rules to the people.
Blood donation
Imphal, Dec 12: As a part of the Nupi Lan observance held today across the state, Welfare Association for the Blind, HDFC, Biramangol College Sawombung NSS Unit I & II, Peace Gong Manipur Chapter, Kasturba Gandhi Institute for Development and Lions Club of Imphal Greater jointly organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with Department Of Immuno Hematology Blood Transfusion RIMS.
