Massive protests broke out across Imphal Valley today, following the gruesome death of six abducted individuals, including women and children, reportedly killed by Kuki militants in Jiribam district. The incident has triggered widespread outrage, with locals condemning the escalating violence and government inaction.
The unrest began after three bodies of the six missing persons were discovered floating in the Barak River near its confluence with the Jiri River along the Manipur-Assam border on Friday night.
