Imphal, Aug 3: Police commandos including personnel from Women Police Station seized 4.93 kg of opium worth Rs 6 lakh and arrested a woman drug peddler.
Lhingkhotinthem Baite @ Thethem, 55, wife of Thongkholun Baite of Moljol, Churachandpur district, was arrested from Wabgai Lamkhai along with the contraband item, police said.
They said one mobile handset, a SIM card and a Rs 100 note were also seized from her possession.
The arrested person along with the seized articles has been handed over to Kakching Police Station for further necessary action.
