One succumbed to injuries in road mishaps

Imphal, Dec 5: One 30 years old succumbed to his injuries after a tragic accident occurred on 4 December, 2016 at around 4:30 pm at Singjamei Thokchom Leikei.
The deceased have been identified as Chongtham Premjit @ Goroba s/o (L) Chongtham Ibotombi of Chingamathak Nameirakpam Leikai.
The deceased Chongtham Premjit was driving one Diesel Auto Vehicle along with other 3 of his friends Papak, Priyo and Nongmaithem Boyai all from Singjamei returning from Khwairamband Keithel to Singjamei.
While reaching near Imo Filling Petrol Station, diesel auto vehicle was hit by one a car driving at a high speed where the diesel auto lose control and hit one i20 car parked at the road side and roll over the road leaving driver Premjit in serious condition while the rest of his friends suffer minor injuries.
Premjit was immediately rush to the Iboyaima Hospital for treatment and sifted at Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) for further treatment where he succumbed to his injuries today morning around 8:30 am.
Papak was the actual owner of the diesel auto which was driven by deceased Premjit during the time of the incident.
Premjit runs a tire workshop.
The car which hit the diesel auto is still absconding without even attending the injured persons.
Family members appeal the concern to catch the culprit responsible of the incident and to give punishment according to the law of the land.
