One more COVID-19 patient died, number reaches 6

Imphal, Aug 1:

One more patient succumbed to COVID-19 today morning at Catholic Medical Center (CMC) Hospital, the number of fatalities due to COVID-19 reached six (6) in the state of Manipur.

The sixth COVID 19 victim is a 76 years old man from Chakpikarong in Chandel district. He has been undergoing treatment in the CMC hospital since last Thursday evening. He has been undergoing treatment for diabetes and  Hepatitis, a source from the hospital said. On the advice of the doctor he had tested for COVID -19 and found to be positive yesterday morning.

Meanwhile number of active COVID-19 cases reached 931 till today afternoon. The total positive case is 2621 and among this 1689 have been recovered. The recovery rate is 64.44% , state Health department source said.
