Imphal, Sept 24: Combine team of Thoubal District Police Commando and 2 AR along with ^AR apprehended a KYKL cadre from Thoubal Keithel at around 2.30 pm yesterday. Police source said that the arrested cadre is identified as Akoijam Suresh 48 yrs s/o Late Ak. Yaima of Thoubal Keithel.
The source added that the arrested cadre is working under one Khelemba of KYKL and has been transacting extorted money to Khelemba at Namphalong (Myanmar ). This year he had transacted Rs. 50000/- and 12000/- in two occasion. The money were extorted from Wangjing brick field and school, the police source added. A mobile phone used for communicating Khelemba was also seized, the sourced said. A case under FIR no 127 (9)2016 TBL PS U/S 17/20 UA ( p ) Act has been registered against the arrested person.
