Department of Social Welfare,Govt. of Manipur organised a One Day Sensitization cum Training Programme for ASHAs and AWWs on Child Protection at the Multipurpose Hall, New Secretariat Campus, Chandel today. S.Shambhunath, ADM Chandel, V.Mingthingla, DPO (ICDS-Cell), Chandel, N.Binodkumar, DSWO Chandel and M.Bimola Devi, District Publict Health Nursing Officer, Chandel graced the program as the Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.
In the technical session of the program, Gyanilaxmi Thongam, Programme Manager,State Adoption Resource Agency (SARA) and Keisam Pradipkumar, Former Chairperson,Child Welfare Committee, Imphal east deliberated on the topics of “Illegal Adoption and its remedies” and “Salient Features of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act,2000″ The program was attended by various officers of Chandel, ASHAs, AWWs and Social Organisations of the District among other.
