Attending the workshop as a resource person, Child Welfare Officer, Social Welfare Department, Govt. of Manipur, Binobala Nongmeikapam spoke on ‘an overview of POCSO Act, 2012.’ She spoke about the significant initiative the government has taken up to address the issue of sexual offences against children by enacting a special law called POCSO as children, being the most vulnerable section of the society are more susceptible to physical, sexual and psychological abuse.One day sensitisation workshop on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 was being organised today by the government of Manipur, Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR), Old High Court Complex, North AOC held at conference Hall, Manipur Hindi Parishad, Old Assembly Road, Imphal.
