One day Tribal Food Mela was held at Khopinom Village in Tengnoupal district today. The Food mela was organised by Autonomous District Council, Chandel in association with District Administration, Tengnoupal and LCDS, Tengnoupal district. Government of India has been observing the month of September as National Nutrition Month and under the aegis of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Gol & Government of Manipur, various activities are taken up under this program to disseminate information and awareness about right nutrition to the people of Chandel & Tengnoupal districts under Autonomous District Council, Chandel
The Tribal Food Mela was organized to create awareness about the varieties of food items of the people of Tengnoupal district.
