One day Drug awareness on “first Aid Programme

 A one day Drug awareness on “first Aid Programme “was held yesterday at the Conference Hall Smart Society, a subsidiary Unit of SALAI Holding Pvt.ltd, Tera Loukrakpam Leikai Imphal. The programme was jointly organised by Smart society  and Indian Red Cross, Imphal district branch  on the objective “To create a sense of ownership in protecting lives of people in emergency situation and preparedness in any kind of Disaster by providing basic health care support” BY  taking a serious concern about the skills in saving precious human life and prioritising humanity first.  The programme was Chair by N Dhanabati Secretary SMART Society and facilitated by O. Ratan Singh, Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Imphal West District Branch, Dr. Th Bankim Singh, First aid co-ordinator, Indian Red Cross Society, Imphal West District Branch and assisted by other members of the Red Cross Society. O. Ratan Singh mentioned about the History of Red Cross Society, its objective and about the dedication of Sir Henry Doman Founder of Red Cross society. The Second session was facilitated by Dr. Th Bankim Singh, he said first aid focuses in three principle i.e. 1) preserve life 2) prevent any condition of worsening and 3) promote recovery he also added that we always prioritised as per severity of the persons when there is multiple casualty but any first aid giver should always be careful of the accident scene. He said assist other without endangering yourself and always monitors the spot and identifies unusual behaviour, unusual smell and unusual surrounding before giving the help
