One Day Adventure Programme for building Confidence, Courage and Characters held at Lamdan

As a Part of Fit India Movement, the Fit India Campaign Committee, Fit India Club, and Adventure Cell, Manipur University, Canchipur have organised a “One Day Adventure Programme” on yesterday at Manipur Mountaineering Institute (MMI) Lamdan under the theme of “Build Up Confidence, Courage and Characters”.
A One Day Adventure Programme team of Manipur University has been flagged off from the Traffic Point, Manipur University, Canchipur at 06:30 a.m. by Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh, Registrar, Manipur University and he express that Adventure activities are one of the best tool to remove fairness, to develop confidence, to shape good human personalities and to build leadership, courage, team spirit, friendship and trust among each other and he wished to the team for grand success of the adventure programme.
Altogether 60 participants from various departments of the university including teachers also took part in the One Day Adventure Programme. Different activities like trekking, Zip-lining, Burma Bridge, Monkey Crawl, Jhoomering, Ladder Climbing, etc. were conducted during the one day adventure programme. MMTA Instructors have supported wholeheartedly to make adventure programme a grand success.
Dr. L. Santosh Singh, convenor, FICC and FIC, Manipur University, Canchipur, welcomed the participants. He highlighted the theme of the campaign and importance of One Day Adventure Programme and also expresses that adventure activities are the best to keep mind healthy, to stay fit and to make a healthy nation. Adventure Sports, today, has gained worldwide recognition as an activity which contributes most significantly to the harmonious development of youth.
Dr. K. Romeo Meitei, Training In-Charge of the programme, have expressed that adventure sport activities pushes one to get out of their comfort zone to perform an adventurous task. He opined that adventure sport activities enhance body-mind co-ordination and elevates concentration levels and will bring a sense of balance among the students or youths. He also mentioned that abundant exercise keeps one fit, while working in teams improves team building and bonding. It also builds self esteem and makes students confident. He also proposed the vote of thanks of the One Day Adventure Programme.
