14th Annual Prize distribution Function for the Meritorious students of the state & Okram Sagei in the HSLC & Hr Sec Exam (Manipur) & Class X & XII Exam, CBSE 2015 With Best sportsperson in Fencing, Football & Hockey Disciplines & Financial assistance to the destitute old Okram Ningol, oldest Okram Piba & Ningol and old women regd. vendor of Ima keithel, kwairamband Bazar was held today at Manipur Press Club.
Altogether 30 persons including students, sportspersons, destitute elderly women, old women vendor of were conferred awards and financial assistance in the function organized by The Okram Sagei Apokpa Trust, Thoubal.
Attaining the award distribution function as guest of honour, Dr.R.K. Lenin, Professor, Deptt of Psychiatry, RIMS spoke on ‘Needs for counseling Youths in Manipur’.
While, O.Nabakishore, IAS, Chief Secretary, govt of Manipur and N.Praveen,MCS, Director of education (S), Govt of Manipur graced the function as Chief Guest and President of the function.
In the annual function organized by The Okram Sagei Apokpa Trust six of meritorious students, three each in State level and Sagei level in the HSLC and that of Hr Secondary Examinations, in Science, in Arts and Commerce streams were awarded with a case value of Rs. 3,000,Rs 2,500 and Rs. 2,000 with citations.
Three players, one each from Fencing, football and hockey were awarded with Rs 5000 and a citation. While four elders were honored with Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 to the destitute old Okram Ningol, oldest Okram Piba & Ningol and old women regd. vendor of Ima keithel, khwairamband Bazar.
