Okenjit Sandham’s ‘Narendra Modi and Naga Peace Accord’ reaches Imphal

Imphal, July 17:  A book entitled ‘Narendra Modi and Naga Peace Accord’ written by Nagaland-based journalist, Oken Jeet Sandham re-introduced today during a function held at the conference room of The Sangai Express daily here today. The book was officially released some days back at Kohima.
Addressing the gathering, author of the book, Oken Jeet Sandham said, ‘Naga has a long political history starting and unresolved; we could not deny it’.
The journey of Naga political movement since 1929 to present day where a framework agreement has been signed between NSCN (IM) and Indian Government on August 3, 2015 clearly indicates that there is a possibility to resolve the Naga issue, Okenjeet observed.
Okenjeet also said that the work (book) is his personal experience and observation on the NDA government’s effort to resolve the longstanding Naga political issue. It is also an effort to serve as a solution to the unresolved Naga issue.
Senior journalist, A Mobi, who attended the book release function as Chief Guest said that the Naga political issue is important to the people of Manipur as it affect the territorial integrity of the state. The book would provide a detail unbiased historical account and observation on the issue.
Editor of The Sangai Express (English Edition), Hijam Rajesh and Editor of The Sangai Express (Manipuri Edition), Khogendra Khomdram also attended the function as president and guest of honour respectively. The book is now available at PC Jain Book store at Thangal Bazaar.
