Oinam Romen distributes monthly pension to differently abled persons

Oinam Romen Singh, Member of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), distributed the monthly pension for February to 208 differently abled persons and selected women of Singjamei Assembly Constituency at a function held at his residence this morning.
The event, organized by the New Development Organisation Singjamei (NDOS) at Singjamei Oinam Thingel, saw Romen Singh expressing his concern over the modest pension amount of Rs. 1,000, stating his desire to increase the amount in the future. He emphasized that he has been undertaking this initiative for over a decade, seeing it as his duty to support differently abled individuals.
Romen Singh highlighted that such individuals should not be underestimated, as they are capable of achieving remarkable feats if given the right care and opportunities. He urged the government to take full responsibility for their welfare and implement sustainable livelihood schemes to ensure financial independence. He also called upon philanthropists to contribute to their cause.
The event was attended by NDOS President Sarungbam Nabakumar Singh, Huidrom Nabakishore Singh, and other dignitaries.
