NSUI observes 51st Foundation day

National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Manipur today observed its 51st Foundation day at Congress Bhavan, BT Road here in Imphal. The Union is a student wing of the Congress Party.
The programme began with the hoisting of the flag by the President of the Manipur Pradesh Committee (MPCC) Govindas Konthoujam in the presence of the office bearers of MPCC, Chief of Frontals, Depts and Cells along with their office bearers.The NSUI team Manipur led by Md Kabir Ahamad, State President NSUI, distributed Notebooks, Pens Masks and sanitizers to the students in Kanglatongbi Children’s Home and Lao Radiant School Karong.
“NSUI is one of the largest democratic student organisation that relentlessly works day and night for the welfare and rights of the student community throughout the nation. NSUI brings out students from different parts of the country together developing a sense of comradery amongst them and not only that but helps the students develop a new horizon and thought process thus allowing them to see things in a new light”, a statement said.
It added that Politics and students are not two different things but are things that go hand in hand.
In connection with the programme a team of NSUI visited the family of Sanaton Athokpam and expressed their solidarity and extend their support till Justice is served to the victim’s family.
