Armed rebel group national Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-K) today reiterated its demand for a sovereign Naga nation.

A statement by MIP in Charge of the NSCN/GPRN Maj. Joseph Lamkang stated that the NSCN/GPRN and the Naga Army will continue to support, defend and fight alongside other oppressed and colonized people till the outfit achieved their long cherished goal.

“The NSCN/GPRN which is founded on the principle of Naga Sovereignty will continue to uphold that spirit, and carry on the struggle till our national flag flies high over our land”, the statement said.

The statement also blamed the Government of India and their agents for trying to remove the word Sovereignty from the Naga dictionary and their effort to disintegrate and destroy the NSCN/GPRN to sabotage the ongoing struggle by creating splinter group through their skillfully designed divide and destroy policy.
