Ukhrul/Dimapur, May 3:
The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim, through its Ministry of Information and Publicity, held a civic reception at CHQ Hebron to formally welcome 83 Homecomers from various camps.
The reception was hosted by the Joint Council of the NSCN IM/GPRN, with the returnees comprising high-ranking members, including Kilonsers, Deputy Kilonsers, Tata Leacy, Razou Peyu, and Khapur. The military contingent was led by a Colonel and included two Lieutenant Colonels, four Majors, one Captain, two Second Lieutenants, three Sergeant Majors, seven Sergeants, and one Corporal. The event emphasized the spirit of unity, reaffirming commitment to the Naga national cause.
During the Joint Council meeting, the NSCN IM/GPRN strongly condemned the killing of three of its cadres by Indian security forces and Assam Police on April 29, 2025, between New Kubin and Herakilua villages in NC Hills.
The Council questioned the sincerity of the Indian government in upholding the ceasefire agreement, which it reiterated is without territorial limits and applies wherever Nagas are present. The statement further pointed out that 201 Naga Army cadres have been killed under various pretexts during the ceasefire period, holding Indian forces responsible for undermining the peace process.
