NSCN-IM condoles the passing of Tapan K. Bose

The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) has expressed profound grief over the demise of veteran journalist and human rights activist Tapan K. Bose. In a condolence message, NSCN General Secretary Thuingaleng Muivah described Bose as a “true friend of the Naga people” who stood unwaveringly in support of their struggle.
Muivah recalled Bose as a statesman of integrity who deeply understood the sentiments of the Naga people and championed their cause despite formidable challenges. “His unwavering support and invaluable counsel helped shape the Naga National movement in meaningful ways,” Muivah noted, highlighting Bose’s role in advocating for Naga rights on both national and international platforms.
Bose’s contributions extended beyond activism—his solidarity was personal. Muivah acknowledged Bose’s significant role in securing his release from prison, emphasizing his commitment to justice and human rights. “His influence extended beyond borders, fostering friendships and alliances that strengthened our movement,” he added.
The NSCN leader mourned the loss of not just an ally but a dear friend whose wisdom and guidance will be irreplaceable. “His memory will live on, inspiring generations with his courage and principles. While we may or may not find another friend like him, he is truly irreplaceable,” Muivah remarked.
On behalf of the Naga Nation, Muivah extended heartfelt condolences to Bose’s family and friends, praying for strength and solace during this difficult time.
“May he rest in eternal peace” -Muivah prays.
