Youth Progressive Front(YPF), Yaingangpokpi have announced to support the move taken up by the student’s wing of Joint Committee of the Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS). The front also clarified that no Mela was organised in the Yaingangpokpi area.
Talking to the media in a press conference at Manipur Press Club in Imphal, Chanambam Sanayanba of the YPF said we support the stand of the JCILPDS. The said mela was not organised in the Yaingangpokpi area. It was organised at Wonghou Village under Saikul Assembly Constituency, Senapati District, he clarified.
Members of the YPF today visited the Mela site and asked to clarify about the misunderstanding, he added. It may be mentioned that Students Wing of the JCILPS on friday announced to discontinue the Mela in Yaingnagpokpi and Waiton areas for encouraging gambling.
