Imphal, May 15: Roster wise protest demanding Inner Line Permit System in the state enters 4th day today.
Large number of people including meira paibis and local club members situated in-between Moirangkhom to Lilong area along National Highway No. 102 disrupting all short of vehicular movement from 12 noon till 3 pm. As announced by the JCILPS, meira paibis and club members came out at the street and staged protest blocking one side of the since early morning.They were supposed to blocked the road from 1 to 2 pm however as some of the protestors started blocking the road comletely at around 12 noon almost all kind of vehicular movement have to be diverted taking alternative route.
During the protest ILPS demand supporters put electric pole across the high way and blocked the raod. At some place few supporters burnt tyres near Lilong bridge, Kakwa and Moirangkhom.
The protesters also form human chain at around 2pm and shouted slogans dedouncing government delay in taking assent of the three ILPS related Bills passed by the state Assembly.
