No compromise on territorial integrity of Assam will be made: Sarbanand Sonowal

Guwahati, March 25: Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal has said that no compromise on territorial integrity of the state will be made. His remark comes after NSCN (I-M) General Secretary T Muivah claimed that the Centre has agreed to territorial integration of Naga inhibited areas in North East. Mr. Sonowal said that no discussion has taken place with the Centre regarding the demand of greater Nagalim. The outfit is demanding to create Nagalim consisting of areas of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur.
Several organizations in Assam are against the proposal of creation of Nagalim. The opposition Congress has demanded to make the Framework Agreement public that had been signed between the Centre and NSCN -IM faction in 2015. State BJP President Ranjeet Kumar Dass said that the people of Assam should not be worried, as the Centre has not made any such announcemen
