The District Administration Kakching today held exit meeting with the National Level Monitors (NLM) in the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kakching to mark the end of Phase-I of Regular Monitoring 2025-26 of various rural development schemes in the district. The monitoring was done by the officials of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India as part of its nationwide exercise to assess the performance and ground level implementation of its flagship programmes.
The monitoring team comprising Khalil Ahmad Khan and Mridul Baruali visited eight (8) Gram Panchayats in the Kakching district. The team visited Hayel Hangoon, Irengband and Keirak under the Kakching Block while under the Langmeidong Block – Mayeng Lamjao, Waikhong, Chairel, Langmeidong and Serou were visited.
The schemes which were monitored are Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G), National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY), Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI), Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana – Watershed Development Component (PMKSY-WDC) and Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).
It may be noted that the monitoring started on July 9, 2025 with an entry meeting held at Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kakching. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Shri Rohit Anand (IAS) and District Level Officers (DLOs).
