NIA directs state home department to give detail report of Lalheiba

Chairman of the URF Lalheiba, who had left the designated camp and declared to return back to the path where he had chosen, had not appeared in the NIA court at Guwahati. According to a reliable source Lalheiba @ Khwairakpam Brojen @ Gopendra, son of Kh Sangaijao and Baruni Devi of Keirenphabi Mayai Leikai in Bishnupur district had to appeared the NIA court on October 14 this year. The source further added that the NIA has directed the state home department to summit the details of his whereabouts. Meanwhile, fate of the cadres who had laid down arms with the URF leaders and are presently staying inside the designated camp could not be certain as their leader Lalheiba is on the run. The source said that at present there are 18 cadres in the designated camp of the URF located at Loitang Khunou Spinning Mill. Of the 18 cadres 5 are female and 5 had their family with them. The declaration of Lalheiba to return back to the path and his appealed for return of the weapon he had deposited with the state government had puzzled the cadres as they are in no position to speak on the matter or take any decision.Regarding the matter state Home Department had not initiated any action against Lalheiba Officially however, as the rebel leader had failed to appear the NIA court, the state home department has been directed to submit the detail.Meanwhile, wife of Lalheiba, Amita Sinha who was arrested in connection with the case encircling Lalheiba has been released on bail and the NIA has freeze 8 accounts of various banks.
