Newly married woman found hung to death

A newly married young woman was found hang to death at a mango tree today morning at Napet Pali Makha leikai under Lamlai police.
According to family members of the victim she was found hanging from the tree with a thin cotton cloth at her neck.
The deceased has been identified as Moirangthem Umabati (24), w/o of Moirangthem Apak of Napet Makha leikai.
The woman who hail from Nongdren Mamang Leikai married last month and had some quarrel with her husband, according to victim’s elder sister Moirangthem Sangeeta.
The woman was found hanging only with her inner-wear. Her phanek was found lying at bed and pillows were spotted at a corner of her room, she added.
