Neglected Buffalo Farm employees ceased work

Imphal, Dec. 12: Employees on the Muster roll of Regional Buffalo Breeding Farm, Wabagai in Thoubal district have ceased all work to protest the alleged failure of the concern authorities to address their grievances and for not fulfilling the agreements reached with them despite repeated requests and representations. Speaking to reporters today at the farm, the staffs said they have been rendering services at the farm for more than 25 years, but have not been paid their salaries since 2003. According to the employees, they have resolved to stop tending to the buffaloes and will neither be taking them out for grazing nor feed the livestock until their dues are cleared and also urged the state government to look into the interest of the muster roll employees who have been serving at the farm for many years.
