Indirectly targeting the much talk about hidden agenda of the Shang Parivar under the leadership of the BJP regarding its religion policy, Dr. M. Nara today said that the secular characteristic of the nation needs to be preserved.
While speaking in the 11th district conference of Imphal West Council CPI at the conference Hall of Oriental College, Dr. M. Nara, Secretary, State Council CPI said that the district conference is being organised in preparation to the upcoming National conference of CPI which will start from 25th March to 29th March at Puduchery. He said that the present political situation of the country including the state is being discussed in the conference. He further said that the communist party has been struggling to bring a scientific and socialist country whereas in the current political situation the BJP led government is working with the agenda of converting the whole country into a Hindu nation which could lead to various communal clashes as India being a diverse country. Many other big countries like China have fully adapted socialism and therefore it is time for India to fight against all the corrupted parties and bring a secular state, added Nara.
