Naga Women Union staged protest

Reiterating the UNC resolution for a permanent solution to the vex Naga issue Naga Women Union today staged a sit-in-protest at Ukhrul bazaar from 11.am to 1 pm.The Naga Women Union demands cessation of the militarisation of Ukhrul town and direct intervention of the Prime Minister of India in the present problem of the Naga by making an alternative administration arrangement for the Naga inhabited areas.The Women Union also condemn the killing of two civilian protestors by Manipur Police Commando on August 30. Many were reported injured on that day.
