MUTA reiterated stands for removal of VC

An emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Manipur University Teachers’ Association was held today at 1.30 pm at the office of the Association to discuss the further course of action in connection with the demand for the removal of the Vice-Chancellor of the Manipur University Prof. Adya Prasad Pandey from the post of Vice-Chancellor. The members discussed the imbroglio and unanimously resolved to appeal to the members of the MUTA not to accept the in-chargeship of the Vice-Chancellor and other administrative positions under any condition till the present crisis is resolved. The meeting also resolved to request all the members of the MUTA not to extend any cooperation to the present Vice-Chancellor and other statutory officers of the Manipur University till the current impasse is resolved, the general secretary of the MUTA Prof. Lisam Shanjukumar Singh informed.
