The crisis in Manipur is no longer a mere law and order situation. Various organizations across the globe have expressed their concern over the 100 plus days of violence that has been happening in the state of Manipur.
Media from across the world is taking the present crisis as their news headlines. The Parliament of India was adjourned time and aging over the issue of Manipur. The European Parliament has taken a resolution. And the matter has been on the table of the United Nations. Protests were seen staged at New York and other European countries urging Indian Government to stop the violence.
On August 11, several Muslim and Human Rights Groups had a petition before the US Embassy in Indonesia to call for US to concern India’s Manipur issue protect humans right of local minorities. the slogans include Please America Speak Up For Human Rights In India, Stop Ethnic Purge In Manipur.
