Manipur University today celebrates Citizen Day at its Centenary Hall to commemorate the day at which the university was upgraded to Central University. On the other hand, Manipur University Students’ Union Revival Demand Committee (MUSU-RDC) to burn effigies of the VC and the Registrar marking it as a Black Day inside the University premises. The MUSU-RDC has been demanding revival of the University’s students’ body and has been putting pressure for review of the Central Educational Institution (Reservation in Admission) Amendment Act, 2012.
