The Annual Conference of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Jiribam (MSPJ) was held today at JMC Multi Utility Complex (Super Market) conference today.
During the programme, Sarat Thokchom attended the seminar on the topic “Jiri da theatre gi khongchat” and Dr. Ibemtombi Devi spoke on the topic “Jiri da Seireng gi Khongchat” while Wangkhem Saratchandra attended as a moderator to the seminar.
MM. Ahmed, a novel laureate of Jiribam District felicitated by Mubi Moirangthem, SP Jiribam District for his novel work done to translate the Urdu novel “Umrao Jaan Adha” into Manipuri language.
N. Budhachandra Singh said it’s a great fortune for us that the writers and intellectual of Jiribam sown the seeds of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad at Jiribam for future generations.
He stated that there are few writers in Jiribam, we need to know the value of them.
In his speech as Chief Guest, Mubi Moirangthem, SP Jiribam said the imagination of poets and writers is not an easy tasks.
He added, it was great opportunity for him to be part of today’s Annual Conference of Sahitya Parishad.
He also highlighted the historical chronicles of Manipur regarding cultural, religion and literatures.
