MSPDCL awarded first rank in Innovation with Impact award

Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) has been awarded 1st rank for INNOVATION with impact award. The award was received by H Shantikumar Singh, Managing Director, MSPDCL on Nov. 3, 2023 in the 17th India Energy Summit held at India Habitat Centre New Delhi, organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce under the aegis of Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.
The summit was held on 2nd and 3rd Nov 2023. The award was given in recognition of the various innovative actions taken up by MSPDCL for the Digitalization of discom activities. Prepaid meters and system automation were the main focus. Secy power Pankaj Aggarwal IAS was the chief guest of the summit. Anil Rajdan, Ex-Power Secretary was the chief jury. MD MSPDCL highlighted the difficulties faced by MSPDCL due to the ban on internet in the prepaid meter recharging and the effect on revenue returns. The activities of Manipur in spite of the odd circumstances of law and order have been given due recognition by the juries.
