Manipur State Film Development Society, MSFDS, today clarifies that the society has no connection whatsoever with the recently introduced multimedia application called MFDC created for streaming Manipuri films online by a private enterprise.
A statement by Sunzu Bachaspatimayum, Secretary, Manipur State Film Development Society said that while the MSFDS is excited about the prospects of online streaming platform introduced for the promotion of Manipuri film economy and is currently developing an online platform for accessing Manipuri films for the public, the Society would like to clarify that the online streaming application, called MFDC is not in any way connected with the MSFDS and that the familiarity of the name ‘MFDC’ is purely coincidental. MSFDS is compelled to issue this clarification as there have been uncountable numbers of inquiries and complaints regarding the app from the general public who unsuspectingly downloaded and used the app ‘MDFC’ thinking it is a platform created and managed by MSFDS.
